ASK YUFFIE©

(Advice From An Urban Dog)

Based on the premise that dogs e-mail each other when we're out of the house.

Yuffie's Credentials

Who better to give advice to urban dogs than Yuffie, Brooklyn's incorrigible canine. As Yuffie sees it: “Not only was it a mistake to let humans share our caves; we dogs should never have taught them to use fire!”

Never one to laze around the house more than twenty two hours a day, Yuffie worked as a Good Dog Foundation certified therapy dog at New York Methodist Hospital in Park Slope. She is still a member in good standing of "Fido" - "Fellowship for the Interest of Dogs & Owners" Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY.

Yuffie passed away in 2004 but that did not stop her column. See her report from the Rainbow Bridge, a place where dogs wait for their human companions before proceeding further into the Hereafter.

Though her column continued well into 2005, Ask Yuffie is no long active. Rumor has it that she's working on a book deal. Comments are appreciated and can still be sent to Bob Ipcar, Yuffie's co-author: bipcar@gmail.com

But do Click on the link below for samples of what her column was like...

In Memory of Yuffie - - -
(1998 -2004)

4/6/04
We had to let Yuffie go - the toll taken on her heart during her battle with cancer proved too much for this most gentle of her giant breed. But we celebrate the memory of her life & times in Prospect Park; New York Methodist Hospital and beyond. It was through Yuffie that we met a wonderful assortment of people whom we can truly call friends and it was through her that we learned to give a bit of ourselves to the neighborhood.
